The National Council for Culture and the Arts in Chile (CNCA) invites Chilean legal organizations of public or private law, for profit or nonprofit, to the Heritage Fund Competition 2016. Participants must submit construction projects centered on the improvement, restoration, conservation and/or rehabilitation of buildings with patrimonial value. Applicants must submit their applications no later than August 23, 2016 and cover the following categories: – Category 1: It pertains to the presentation of construction projects centered on historically significant landmarks and places in which human rights violations occurred and that are protected under the Law 17.288 for National Monuments and/or protected by the respective Communal Regulatory Plan, under article 60 of the Urban Planning and Construction Act (Historically Preserved Building and/or Historically Preserved Zone). – Category 2: It pertains to the presentation of projects in buildings protected under Law number 17.288 for National Monuments and/or protected by the respective Communal Regulatory Plan, under article 60 of the Urban Planning and Construction Act. – Category 3: It pertains to the presentation of projects in buildings that are not protected under Law number 17.288 for National Monuments and/or not protected by the respective Communal Regulatory Plan, under article 60 of the Urban Planning and Construction Act. Participants may request from the CNCA no more than $120,000,000.00 (one hundred twenty million Chilean pesos) to finance projects in Category 1; $180,000,000.00 (one hundred eighty million Chilean pesos) for projects that fall under Category 2; and $150,000,000.00 (One hundred fifty million Chilean pesos) for project that belong to Category 3.
