Aimed at encouraging cultural development in México and supporting the initiatives of creators, interpreters, researcher, agents, promoters, educators, and independent cultural spaces, among others, for the realization of integral projects, the Ministry of Culture in Mexico offers financial support in two financing modalities: •Stimulus: up to 250,000.00 Mexican pesos for initiatives without any other financial support. •Joint investment: up to 500,000.00 Mexican pesos will be granted to proposals already with contributions, in cash or in kind, of at least 35% of the total cost of the project, granted by public or private contributors or by the legally constituted applicant groups. Candidates may apply online to enter in one of the disciplines and specialties stipulated by the call. The project proposed must be completed within a maximum period of 12 months and must have characteristics that conform with the guidelines of the program and cannot participate in any other call organized by the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA). Proposals may be entered by individuals or by groups. Participants must be Mexican nationals or foreigners who can prove their legal status as permanent residents. The application period to submit the proposals online will depend on the disciplines. The deadline to enter proposals for dance, cultural studies, letters and projects for children will be June 2; Interdisciplinary, musical and theater projects must be entered by June 16; and proposals centered on the visual arts and architecture, independent cultural spaces with performing activities and audiovisual media must be submitted no later than June 30.
