Florence Bourgeois, the head of Paris Photo since 2015, has been named director of Fiac art fair, replacing Jennifer Flay who has directed the Paris contemporary art fair for the past 18 years. “I am pleased to entrust the joint management of our two art fairs to Florence Bourgeois. In addition to her deep knowledge of the art world, Florence has managed, with her team, to make Paris Photo the largest and most dynamic world gathering on the photographic market, thanks above all to a real partnership with galleries and publishers,” says Michel Filzi, president of Rx France.
The announcement appears a week after the announcement that Art Basel’s parent company, MCH Group, had taken over Fiac’s tenancy in October for the next 7 years, when it was put out to tender. Paris Photo will continue its usual dates in November, also until 2028, at the Grand Palais Ephémėre and then at the Grand Palais.
