Flor Garduño. Trilogy

With the exhibition entitled Trilogy at the Antiguo Colegio San Ildefonso, artist Flor Garduño celebrates 30 years of artistic trajectory. The show consists of black and white images captured with natural light that center on three themes that have always accompanied this artist: Bestiary, Fantastic Women, and Silent Natures. The curatorship, by Paula Cerutti, took on the challenge of presenting 95 works-most of these never before exhibited -throughout eight exhibition rooms, which represent three decades- the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s- of uninterrupted artistic production by Garduño. The exhibition will remain open to the public until August 14, 2011. Flor Garduño's work is part of the collections of important institutions like the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, among others. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog published by the Antiguo Colegio San Ildefonso, with a prolog by Francisco Reyes-Palma and texts by Alfredo López-Austin, Teresa Siza, and Guido Magnaguagno.
