FIVA is an international video art festival held annually since 2011 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since its seventh edition, its venue is the Centro Cultural San Martín.
Artists over 18 years old of any nationality may apply to this call for entries. The selection and award jury will be formed by: Florencia Levy (Argentina), Ángela López Ruiz (Uruguay), and Selina Blasco (Spain). The selected works will be announced through an email on the festival's website.
About the works:
(a) Each artist or collective of creators may submit a maximum of two works.
b) Video installations will not be accepted.
c) Works created before 2019 will not be accepted.
d) Works may be submitted in any standard formats currently used (AVI, MOV, MP4, MPG, etc.). The file must be labeled with: title, duration, and author. The file size must not be less than 720p.
e) The theme is free.
f) Works that have been presented in previous editions of FIVA cannot be submitted.
g) The work must be spoken or subtitled in Spanish.
The work must be accompanied by:
a) The registration form was previously filled out and signed (at the bottom of the page).
b) Professional résumé of the author(s).
c) Brief synopsis of the work.
d) Digital image of the work (jpg 300 dpi).
Sending the videos: The download link must be sent before August 2, 2021, to one of the following addresses: info@fivafestival.com.ar or fivafestival@gmail.com.
Due to the particular circumstances produced by the pandemic, it is exceptionally possible that the festival or some of its days will be carried out by streaming, with the previous authorization of the authors involved.
