Fellowship

The Obama Foundation has just opened a fellowship program that seeks to develop networks formed by a diverse community of professionals that includes inventors, artists, entrepreneurs, journalists, and more; leaders capable of generating change through civic-minded projects. By engaging their fellow citizens to work together in creative and meaningful ways, Obama Foundation Fellows will demonstrate ways in which any person can become an active participant in their community. The Foundation offers twenty two-year fellowships directed at individuals working to solve important public issues in creative and compelling ways. According to the foundation, "We are inspired by a broad vision of what it means to be 'civic,' one that includes leaders tacking a range of issues, in both traditional and unconventional ways." The Fellowship will offer practical training, resources, and leadership development. Likewise, fellows will also participate in gatherings where they will collaborate with each other, establish relationships with potential partners, and collectively promote their works. Throughout the program, each fellow will pursue a personalized plan that takes advantage of the resources offered by the Fellowship in order to take their works to the next level. The Foundation will cover transportation and lodging expenses for the individuals selected. Fellows will be responsible for covering any visa-associated costs. Applications can be completed online at: https://www.obama.org/fellowship/application/ The deadline to submit all applications if Friday, October 6, 2017. Homepage: https://www.obama.org/fellowship/
