ProyectArte, a non-profit organization aimed at the development of several educational and visual production programs, appointed Eva Grinstein (Buenos Aires, 1973) as its new executive director. Grinstein is a curator, scholar, and art critic specialized in Argentinean and Latin American contemporary art.
Grinstein was member of the curatorial teams at the PR04 Biennial (San Juan, Puerto Rico, 2004); the Fifth Mercosur Biennial (Porto Alegre, Brazil, 2005), the Triennial of Chile (Valdivia, 2009); and at the MDE11 International Encounter (Medellin, Colombia, 2011); among others. Her writings about Argentinean art and Argentinean artists are frequently published in books, catalogs, and periodicals. Grinstein has coordinated several workshops for emerging artists—centered on the analysis of artworks—and has taught several courses and given many conferences in Argentina and abroad.
ProyectArte is a non-profit organization that develops a variety of educational and visual production programs, as well as the exhibition and sale of works, for low-income young people between the ages of 15 and 29, who reside in Argentina and who standout for their talent and commitment. Focused on offering an intensive educational experience and the execution of quality productions, these programs are based on the consolidation of pair groups that are supportive of each other and responsible for the environment they study, produce, and exhibit, through exchanges with artists with long national and international artistic trajectories.
