Botero Monumental Sculpture

Botero Monumental Sculpture, curated by Gary Nader and produced by the Nader Latin American Museum, will be on exhibit at Bayfront Park in Miami from October 2015 through January 2016. Fernando Botero is one of the most important figures in the contemporary art scene, and his world-renowned monumental works have been exhibited in cities across the globe, like Paris, New York, Venice, Seoul, Berlin, Tokyo, Madrid, and Athens, among others. His presence in Miami will offer residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy his famous sculptures, a distinctive component of his oeuvre as a whole. Among the works on exhibit is his iconic Torso Masculino, seen in more than 20 important cities already, as well as such outstanding sculptures as, among others, Cabeza, Caminante, Adán y Eva, Caballo, Bailarines, Donna in piedi, and Rapto de Europa. Nader Latin American Art Museum holds over 1200 works by important figures in modern and contemporary art, and is committed—as its founder, Gary Nader, has been for more than 40 years—to enhance the cultural environment and promote its excellence. A temporary, 30,000 square feet space will remain open to the public during the Art Basel Miami Beach fair in order to display the most important works in the NaderLAAM collection; this space will serve to promote the historical importance of Latin American art until construction of the museum's final facilities is completed.
