Brazilian sculptor Ernesto Neto explores sensuality and corporeality. The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao will exhibit the Brazilian artist's work starting on February 14th, 2014.
The exhibition has been organized in close collaboration with Neto and is conceived as a high-density tour that will allow viewers to experience the essence of his work: an experience of smells, color, emotion, and language, of events that are purely sensorial.
The installation of a large-format work is slated for the atrium, and the rest of the exhibit will unfold in the eight galleries in the museum's second level. Each will offer a different experience for contemplation and interaction.
Ernest Neto, who defines himself as a sculptor, creates woks intended to be walked through, inhabited, felt, ad even smelled, which makes it possible for viewers to experience their own bodies, their senses, and their minds through the work of art.
