Free Access Prado Museum

The management of the Prado Museum announced that starting in November the will allow free access to their facilities in specific schedules, mainly in the afternoon. Tickets will stop being charged form Monday to Friday on the last two hours each day and on Sundays on the last four hours of the day. The project which is called Te invitamos al Prado (We invite you to Prado) will procure that visitors may avoid the weekend tension, when most people attend and also that more Spanish citizens and tourists may assist to the facilities. The initiative will be presented during the opening of the exhibition Maestros modernos (Modern Masters). Las colecciones del siglo XIX del Museo del Prado, (The Prado Museum XIX century collections) will also establish a reserve system for out of town public, that will allow them to obtain a free ticket for the museum during the entire month of November. The tickets may be requested through the museum¿s website during the week from October 30th to November 4th.
