Online meetings

This year 2021, has been—and will continue to be—an extremely fruitful year for those interested in the study and analysis of art criticism. This is due to the continuous work carried out by the International Association of Art Critics, Venezuela. In fact, since last March, a series of online meetings have been held with international and national critics and contemporary artists to analyze the role and importance of art criticism as seen from various perspectives and particular experiences. These successful and well-attended meetings have been conceived and coordinated by its president, Bélgica Rodríguez, with the support and alliance established between AICA-Venezuela, the Fundación Sala TAC, and the Centro Cultural BOD.
From September until the end of the year, the work will continue with the following activities:
BOD Platform, 11 am.
Theme: "From the outside in. Stories and poetics of the Venezuelan artistic diaspora".
September 14: Carlos Zerpa (Mexico)
October 12: Nela Ochoa (Spain)
November 19: Sigfredo Chacón (Miami)
TAC Hall Platform, 4 pm.
A cycle of talks with national and international art critics
September 23: Sol Henaro (Mexico). Topic: Politics of memory(s), Centro de Documentación Arkheia MUAC-UNAM.
October 21: Humberto Valdivieso (Venezuela). Subject: The art of the post-present
November 25: Jesús-Pedro Lorente (Spain). Topic: Partial/global histories of art criticism.

November 23 Juan Acha Chair. Latin American Art
Participants: María Luz Cárdenas, Lorena González, Humberto Valdivieso and Víctor Guédez. Special guest: Dagmary Olivar (Mexico-Spain).
