El Parqueadero - Laboratorios

With the objective of promoting experimentation, documentation, and interdisciplinary encounters within the framework of several contemporary artistic practices, the Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avedaño, with the support of the Banco de la República, calls artists to submit projects to be considered for development at the space of La Manzana Cultural of the Banco de la República El Parqueadero. More than just an exhibition space, El Parqueadero is a laboratory for the development of workshops, art production, documentation, video, and the materialization of calls and various other projects. On this occasion, it invites Colombian and international artists, curators, solicitors, and/or teachers to develop ¿ individually or collectively ¿ their works based on contemporary artistic practices. Eight (8) projects to be developed in laboratories for artistic creation, research, and/or teaching will be selected as a result of the call. Each of the chosen projects will receive a grant in the amount of four million ($4,000,000.00) Colombian pesos. The call will be open until May 26, 2010.
