The curators of the upcoming edition of the New Museum Triennial titled "Songs of Sabotage," Gary Carrion-Murayari and Alex Gartenfeld, announced the list of artists selected to participate in the event. Gartenfeld, deputy director and chief curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami (ICA MIAMI), said in an interview with artnet: "Art centers like New York can be the most insular places of all […] With this exhibition, we sought to critically revise what it means to be global by introducing leading young artists from emerging art centers and networks around the world." The exhibition "Songs of Sabotage" will be open from February 13 to May 27, 2018. It will include works by more than 30 artists from 19 countries. Some of the Latin American artists that will participate are: Tomm El-Saieh (1984, Port-au-Prince, Haiti) lives and works in Miami, Florida. Claudia Martínez-Garay (1983, Ayacucho, Peru) lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Daniela Ortiz (1985, Cusco, Peru) lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. Dalton Paula (1982, Brasilia, Brazil) lives and works in Goiânia, Brazil. Manuel Solano (1987, Mexico City, Mexico) lives and works in Mexico City, Mexico.
