The Museo Diego Rivera - Anahuacalli presents Iván Krassoievitch

The exhibition entitled " Filosofía y letras” (Philosophy and Letters) by Iván Krassoievitch will be presented at the Museo Diego Rivera - Anahuacalli from July 2 to September 1, 2023.
Krassoievitch (Mexico, 1980) studied Industrial Design at the UAM, Film Screenwriting at the C.C.C. and the SOMA educational program. His work explores discourse as a symbol and the use of words, their visual and sonorous importance.
The exhibition includes a series of three-dimensional letters, designed in various techniques and materials. Each of the pieces is based on characters that have been relevant in Krassoievitch's life and that are related to the Museo Anahuacalli. They present themes such as the artist's close interaction with indigenous communities through clothing and the ideologies and flavors of the neighborhood where the museum is located. The letters represent dualities, the living and the dead, the inactive and the active, the past and the present.
The show aims to highlight the possibilities of creation and the importance of the museum in the history of Mexico. For example, the piece Carta a Eulalia (Letter to Eulalia) is a text dedicated to the anthropologist Eulalia Guzmán, a collaborator of the museum and the person in charge of registering the collection of the painter Diego Rivera. Other letters are arranged in different spaces, most of them outdoors, to be discovered and read by the spectators.
