The exhibition "Todos nuestros átomos dan cuerpo a miles de vidas antes que la nuestra" (All our atoms give body to thousands of lives before ours) opens its doors at Ex Teresa Arte Actual, showcasing over 30 years of artist Guillermo Galindo's work. Curated by Carlos Prieto, the exhibition features more than 50 pieces exploring population exoduses and migratory flows.
Galindo, born in Mexico City in 1960, addresses in his work the dissolution of borders and translation between cultures. The exhibition is divided into three cores: "Éxodo, emanación y reliquia” (Exodus, emanation, and relic), "Desintegración del paisaje” (Landscape disintegration), and "Ruido negro” (Black noise). Highlighting the electroacoustic composition titled "Sonic Borders", created from instruments made with artifacts found in border areas.
The exhibition also includes a documentation room with reproductions of the artist's paradigmatic works. Additionally, public events will be offered such as the premiere of the mariachi version of John Cage's work, "Variations II", and talks with the artist.
The exhibition will be open to the public until July 21, with free admission from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, at the Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico.
