Heriberto Nieves? Work Donated to Miami Children?s Museum

Péndulo de Luna Blanca was donated to the Miami Children¿s Museum, to become part of its collection, after its curators saw it during a show by the artist in Miami and at Art Basel Miami Beach 2003. About this piece, the artist said: ¿I donated this sculpture to the Museum so that every child who comes to this great museum will be in contact with art and with my work. The work turns and oscillates on its center, is interactive, and the children can turn it.¿ The sculpture, about six feet high, is painted white with black dots. Other pieces from the same series are at the Ponce Museum of Art in Puerto Rico and at the library of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo.
