The Strengthening of Museums program of the Museo Nacional de Colombia, the Ministerio de Cultura and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, announce the opening of the registration period for the Course on Art Collections Management and Curatorship of Exhibitions that will be taught at the Museo de Arte de Pereira, from October 11 to November 11 of 2013.
The course targets individuals associated with museum organizations, who hold managerial jobs or who are responsible for the coordination, development and execution of cultural or educational programs or policies in museums. The objective of the course is to encourage participants to propose and develop curatorial research from proposals offered in contemporary museology, within their respective disciplinary areas of interest and of the museums in which they work.

www.facartes.unal.edu.co/diplomadosMincultura. The deadline to enter all applications is September 28, 2013. Once registered, participants may apply for a scholarship that confers the total amount of the tuition for the course. Those individuals who are granted the scholarship will be asked to submit a commitment letter in which, as beneficiaries of the scholarship, they will pledge to share and disseminate the knowledge that they acquired during the curse.
