The book titled Die Traumadeutung by Joan Fontcuberta has been recognized by PhotoEspaña 2016 as the Best Photography Book of 2016 in the national category. Conceived as an artist's book by Fontcuberta, the work was published by the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Petersen in the context of the fourth edition of the Proyecto Miradas de Asturias [Gazes from Asturias Project] that is promoted and sponsored by the foundation. Also announced were the winners of the international awards and the winner of the "Award to an Outstanding Edition." The Walls Don't Speak / Les Murs ne Parlent Pas by Jean-Robert Dantou, with writing by Florence Weber-Kehrer, won the international category of the Spanish competition. The jury also named the work titled Kleine Fotoenzyklopädie by Guadalupe Ruiz the winner of the Self-published category.
