Founded in 1989, the Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts gallery celebrates 25 years of existence as an important part of the international art scene. Initially called Der Brücke—in Argentina—the gallery has participated in art fairs like Arte Fiera Bologna, Expo Chicago, Pulse Miami, Pulse New York, Texas Contemporary, Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, ARCO and FIAC, among others. Throughout its trajectory, the gallery has presented solo and group exhibitions that included the participation of artists of different ages, genders and from different places around the world. Among the more than 30 artists currently represented by the gallery, several have received awards, including: artists chosen for the Venice Biennale like Clemencia Labin, Cecilia Paredes and Graciela Sacco, among others. Diana Lowenstein began her career as a gallery director in Argentina, where she promoted works by young local talent and organized exhibitions by internationally recognized artists. As result of the great interest in collecting by Europeans, Lowenstein sought the opportunity to develop a network of contacts with European galleries, which led her to represent several great masters like Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta and Antoni Tapies. Additionally, she has been part of organizing committees at several art fairs, which allowed the insertion of Latin American art of the highest level into the fairs. In September of 2000, Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts moved to Miami—to Coral Gables. Years later, it reached the place it now occupies in the Wynwood Arts District.
