Destierro y Reparación (Uprooting and Reparations)

More than 30 visual artists, musicians, singers, teachers, writers, and filmmakers will gather at Destierro y Reparación, an exhibition project promoted by the Museum of Antioquía with the aim of generating social conscience concerning the dimension and implications of the forced displacements phenomenon as a reality affecting everyone and weakening social stability. The event will offer discussion groups, roundtables, workshops, and concerts. It will begin on September 5 and will last until November 15 of this year. The agenda has been created to include more than 20 institutions and will incorporate exhibition, academic, cultural, and pedagogical activities. Destierro y Reparación will also integrate five central working points, comprising background, emblematic cases, the impact of forced displacements, reparations for victims of forced displacements, and the state of uprootings and refuge within that context.
