Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is Damaged

A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of England, on exhibit since May at Westminster Abbey, had to be removed from public view after a 41-year old man spray-painted it. The painting will be retired until the damage is restored.

The Coronation Theatre was painted by Australian artist Ralph Heimans for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
