The Museo Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, Costantini Foundation's Scientific Artistic Committee (CCA, in its Spanish initials) was established in May. It is comprised of seven renowned professionals in the field, curators and museum directors, and it will advise MALBA's executive team in programming, collecting, and new acquisitions, while strengthening the museum's ties with similar institutions in Latin America and beyond. The Committee members are Andrea Giunta, Director of the Experimental Art Center at UNSAM; Julieta González, Chief Curator for Museo Jumex and curator at MASP (Museu de Arte de São Paulo); Inés Katzenstein, Director of the Art Department at UTDT (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella); Adriano Pedrosa, Artistic Director at MASP; Octavio Zaya, independent curator, co-curator of Documenta XI and a specialist in Latin American and African art; Victoria Giraudo, executive coordinator of curators at MALBA; and Agustín Pérez Rubio, MALBA's Artistic Director. Their first meeting was held on Sunday, May 31st, behind closed doors, after a gathering with Eduardo F. Costantini, President and Founder of MALBA, and Federico Braun, the museum's Executive Director. General guidelines, dynamics, and work methodologies were established during this session, as were the calendar and the projects slated for upcoming years.
