Call for Curatorial Projects 2012

The Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, in an alliance with the District Secretary for recreation and Sport and the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation, is calling for Colombian curators interested in exploring and analyzing artistic production in Bogotá to develop projects to be presented in the museum's ground level.

The two winning projects will receive ten million pesos ($10,000,000) for their research. The exhibitions will be held in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

This program is addressed to curators with a minimum of three years of professional experience in the organization and promotion of curatorial projects in the visual arts field, who understand the way in which the relationship between artists and their practices are built, and how they develop and circulate. Each curator must present one curatorial research project.

The call is open to not-for-profit projects by natural persons with Colombian citizenship with specific curatorial experience for a minimum of three years, with publications in the professional field.

Also, Colombian curatorial collectives (each participant must have a minimum of three years of experience, and must have published in the field), established as a consortium or temporary union.

Proposals must be presented before November 23rd.
