The Museos de la Ciudad Foundation, through Quito's Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, is calling for exhibition proposals for the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo during the 2014 administrative year, to be presented through November of 2014. The call is open to national and international proposals.
Budgetary coherence will be valued, and the number of proposals accepted will be subject to the availability of funds for 2014. The budget includes all legal taxes and can assume expenditures in research, pre-production, production of cultural goods and curatorial materials, assemblage, educational program, insurance, transport of cultural goods, payment to artists, disassemblage, etc. Referential values and maximum amounts for each category have been inserted in the chart concerning budgetary matters.
Submitted proposals can be new or traveling projects already exhibited in other cities. Priority will be given to proposals inscribed within Quito's Centro de Arte Contemporáneo's strategic lines.
Proposals will be accepted in physical and digital formats. Portfolios can be delivered to the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, located in Calle Montevideo and Luis Dávila, in the former Military Hospital, Quito. Submissions will be received Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Proposals in digital formats can be sent to: investigacion-curaduria@centrodeartecontemporaneo.gob.ec.
