Call for Director of the Berlin Biennale

The call for candidates to apply for the position of Director of the Berlin Biennale is open until February 24th. For almost thirty years, the Berlin Biennale has positioned itself as one of the most important events in promoting and exhibiting contemporary art. Currently, it has 12 editions that have established it as a biennial with a strong political emphasis; its various curators have aimed to transform this space into an international forum for reflecting on the relationship between art, politics, and current events.
Candidates applying for the position of biennial director must have proven experience in managing exhibition projects at both national and international levels, working with diverse artists, commissioning artworks, and conducting educational programs. Additionally, they must have a track record in resource management and fundraising, including seeking sponsorships through collaborations and donations. Moreover, fluency in both German and English is essential for effective representation of the institution and ensuring its future development.
