CIMAM 2024 Call for Travel Grant Applications

CIMAM's (International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art) 2024 Annual Conference in Los Angeles is poised to welcome modern and contemporary art professionals for three days (December 6th-8th, 2024) of exploration and discussion on sustainable futures in the cultural sector. Approximately 30 travel grants are being offered to support the attendance of curators, directors, and museum professionals. These grants aim to facilitate the participation of individuals from various countries, promoting international representation and fostering dialogue on contemporary art practices. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply before June 9th, with priority given to those demonstrating genuine financial need and alignment with CIMAM's objectives.
Hosted by The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the Hammer Museum at UCLA, among other institutions, the event will feature panel discussions, and curated tours in collaboration with PST ART: Art & Science Collide, an initiative by the Getty Foundation.
Upon receiving a travel grant, professionals become CIMAM Ambassadors, engaging in ongoing programs and initiatives to promote collaboration and share best practices in contemporary art museum management. For further details on the application process and eligibility criteria, interested parties are encouraged to contact travelgrants@cimam.org.
