The Fundación Carolina announces the opening of the new edition of its Call for Scholarships for the 2012-2012 period. This program was created with the objective of facilitating and promoting a broader offer of studies to university students and professionals.
On its 12th edition, the call will grant a total of 545 scholarships, 354 of which are for postgraduate studies in 95 academic programs, while 40 are destined to second-year scholarships in 18 academic programs. The 151 remaining places are for renewals of doctoral scholarships.
Some of the scholarships offered in the areas of Humanities, Culture, Arts, Language, and History are:
1. Advance postgraduate course in Musical Studies for Latin America
2. Documentation and Writing: Paleography, Diplomatics, and Archival Science
3. Master's in Architectural Heritage Conservation
4. Postgraduate Studies in Hispanic Linguistics and Lexicography
5. Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language (Banco Santander)
6. Master's of Specialization in Hispanic Philology (ENDESA)
The postgraduate scholarships are divided in two aid modalities: Scholarship and Student aid. They are directed to the education, in Spain, of graduate students from any country within the Latin American Community of Nations with academic or professional proficiencies supported with compelling résumés.
Renewals of doctoral scholarships granted in previous years, are aimed at assisting professors from Latin American universities to obtain Doctoral Degrees in Spanish academic institutions.
Candidates must enter their applications online through the foundation's homepage* by June 3, 2012.
The Fundación Carolina is an institution formed in 2000 to promote the cultural relationship, as well as educational and scientific cooperation between Spain and the countries from the Latin American Community of Nations.
