The Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, in partnership with Massimo Listri and the Italian Embassy, is calling young amateur photographers in Colombia to participate in its interior-photography competition, on the topic "Interiors of Colombian Churches," which takes places in parallel to the Museos Vaticanos exhibition. The competition is intended to bring young Colombians closer to interior-space photography, with an emphasis on architectural perspective. The best three photographs will receive an award on the day the exhibition opens, and a selection of participants will be projected. The call is open to all amateur photographers: artists, architects, designers, advertising professionals, film students and students of similar disciplines, between the ages of 18 and 35, resident in Colombia. As an award, the Italian Embassy will provide a complete course of the Italian language at the Italian Culture Institute (3 years, COP$5.700.000 in value). Also, an art work by a renowned Italian designer, and an autographed book by Massimo Listri. Submissions must focus on classical perspective; their photographs must be taken inside Colombian churches; each submission must be original and unpublished, and it must not have been judged in or be awaiting the results of any other competition. Submissions must be made via email, indicating name, ID number, age, address, and contact phone number. All materials must be submitted in the following formats: tiff - minimum 18 mb - 300 dpi; jpg - minimum 5 mb - 300 dpi; dimensions: 30 cm on the largest side. Participation in the competition implies ceding to the organization all rights of of use, exploitation, and public distribution of the photographs, without any and all limitations, save for the acknowledgment of the author´s moral rights by the competition organizers, without this generating any royalties due. Participating photographs can be used in promotional activities and projects, such as reproductions, printing, publication, exhibition, and any other the organizers may deem pertinent. Organizers will not be responsible for travel, lodging, or food expenses by the winner or other participants in the exhibition. Awards will be personal and non-transferable.
