The Consejo Federal de Inversiones (CFI) of Argentina invites artists from across that South American country to participate in the "Premio Federal" Biennial Competition 2013. The event will take place between November and Dicember of 2013 at: Salas Federales of the CFI, San Martín 871, City of Buenos Aires.
The competition aims at opening doors and giving exposure to artists from all the Argentinean provinces and national and international circuits, while also straightening their artistic activity in their places of origin.
The call is open to Argentinean of foreign artists over the age of 18— reached by the date of registration—who can prove a minimum residency of 2 years in any province and/or region of Argentine, prior to the date in which the call was announced.
The areas and artistic disciplines and the presentation dates of the works, materials, and inscriptions, are as follows:
Visual Arts, Painting: from October 7 through October 11.
Writing, Short Stories: from March 1 to July 30.
Music, Singing: from June 3 to August 2.
The competition will award each of the visual categories in the following manner:
First Federal Prize: $ 30,000.00 (thirty thousand) acquisition prize, trophy and diploma.
Second Federal Prize: $ 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand) acquisition prize, trophy and diploma.
Third Federal Prize: $ 10,000.00 (ten thousand) acquisition prize, trophy and diploma.
First Mention: medal and diploma.
Second Mention: medal and diploma.
Third Mention: medal and diploma.
Special Mention by the Jury: diploma.
* Prize amounts are in Argentinean pesos.
The CFI may award a Provincial Mention to one artist per participating province, depending on his/her merit. The federal prizes and mentions cannot be declared deserted in any of the categories.
