How does Art Basel celebrate its 50 years?

Founded in 1970 by three local Basel gallerists: Trudl Bruckner, Ernst Beyeler, and Balz Hilt, it was initially known as Art. Its first director was Emil Bammater, and 90 galleries from 10 countries participated, which attracted the attention of more than 16,000 visitors. The city of Miami Beach, in 2002, under the direction of Sam Keller, became the second place to hold the fair, placing and giving the city the possibility of being an important art reference in the hemisphere. In 2013, Art Basel expanded to Hong Kong, conforming with the latter its three current locations, all of them under the direction of Marc Spiegler.
