Contemporary Art Collection of the Museo de Arte, Lima, at the Pinacoteca

Beginning on May 28, the collection of contemporary Peruvian art from the Museo de Arte in Lima (MALI) will be exhibited for the first time outside Peru at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, in Brazil. The exhibition consists of a selection of works from that collection and is curated by Tatiana Cuevas, in collaboration with independent curator Rodrigo Quijano. Beginning in 2007, MALI's contemporary art collection-initiated during the 1950s with the help of donations by artists and collectors-has considerably grown through the initiatives of the Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee, whose members continue to actively collaborate with the Museo. More information is available at the homepages of both institutions: http://www.mali.pe http://www.pinacoteca.org.br/pinacoteca/
