CIRCA PR announces new dates for its next edition and agreement of cooperation with Art Beijing

The CIRCA PR Fair, which from its foundation celebrates its occurrence in the month of April, announces that it has changed the dates of its next editions to January 29 and to February 1, 2010. The organizers have expressed their interest in beginning the calendar of fairs each year, after the activities of Art Basel Miami Beach, thereby offering visitors the excellent climate conditions in Puerto Rico. The Fair returns for its fifth edition to the Convention Center of Puerto Rico, situated in the heart of San Juan. CIRCA PR also announced an agreement with the Art Beijing Fair, which includes the presentation of Chinese galleries with works by emerging artists during CIRCA and later, at three emerging galleries in Puerto Rico and in Latin America. Similarly, the Fair extends invitations to Chinese collectors to the CIRCA Fair and Puerto Rican and Latin America collectors to Beijing. The Fair, which during these past years has focused on emerging, young, and unestablished art, will continue this work through the IDEALS section, a platform for a small group of emerging and contemporary galleries that will present works priced at $5,000 or less. In an effort to promote emerging art and interdisciplinary and alternative artistic proposals, an effort that will permit the younger generations more democratic and less intimidating access to the contemporary culture, CIRCA Labs offer a cultural exchange experience in which urban art, live music, performances, skating, tattooing, and personalized products provide a fresh and challenging approach to contemporary artistic practices. CIRCA Labs is curated by Pablo León de la Barra, the London-based gallerist and curator.
