One Hundred Years of Painting in Panama Inter-American Development Bank

The exhibition One Hundred Years of Painting in Panama, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank as a survey of the course followed by Panamanian painting in the first century. The exhibition gathered 25 Panamanian artists and included 29 works, selected by Félix Angel, curator for the Bank¿s Cultural Center, and Mónica Kupfer, former curator for the Panama Museum of Contemporary Art, who was invited to participate as adjunct curator. The paintings shown came from Panamanian collections, from the collection of the Panamanian Embassy to the United States, and from the Museum of the Americas in Washington. Among the works presented were paintings by Roberto Lewis, Alfredo Sinclair, Guillermo Trujillo, Coqui Calderón, Olga Sinclair, Isabel de Obaldía, and Brooke Alfaro.
