Celina Eceiza: Ofrenda. Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires

The Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires opens the solo exhibition "Celina Eceiza: Ofrenda." This project, specially designed for the museum, offers a complete immersion into Eceiza’s artistic vision. She has created a series of innovative installations using various plastic techniques, such as dyeing, batik, patchwork, collage, plaster, and pastel on large, handcrafted fabrics.
Curated by Jimena Ferreiro, the exhibition transforms the museum space into a dynamic and immersive environment, featuring soft forms and compositions that include bodies in transformation, hybrid creatures, and references to 20th-century avant-gardes. Eceiza arranges these elements in an architectural journey that challenges the conventional white cube, creating an atmosphere that encourages reflection and dialogue.
Eceiza’s works combine textiles, drawings, and sculptures, presenting a balance between meticulousness and clumsiness that invites viewers to explore social, psychological, and metaphysical dimensions. The exhibition aims to offer visitors an environment where space and objects foster a sensitive connection, promoting contemplation and the reconciliation of diverse perspectives.
The exhibition will be on view until June 2025 at the Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires, Av. San Juan 350, C1147AAO, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
