Cecilia Fajardo-Hill appointed Vice President of Curatorial Affairs and Chief Curator at the Museum of Latin American Art

Richard P. Townsend, President and CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) announced the appointment of Cecilia Fajardo-Hill as Vice President of Curatorial Affairs and Chief Curator of the Museum. Ms. Fajardo-Hill will start her new position on August 17. Between 2005 to 2008, she was the Director and Chief Curator of the Cisneros Fontanals Arts Foundation and the Ella Fontanals Cisneros Collection in Miami. Prior to that, she was General Director of the alternative contemporary art space Sala Mendoza in Venezuela from 1997 to 2001. She has a Ph.D. in art history with a specialization in contemporary Latin American art from the University of Essex, England and a master's degree in 20th century art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London. As head of MOLAA's curatorial team and a member of senior management, Fajardo-Hill will work to develop exhibitions, institute programs and grow the museum's permanent collection.
