Carmen Herrera’s upcoming exhibition at the Whitney

New York City's Whitney Art Museum is programming an exhibition of works by Cuban artist Carmen Herrera for the Fall of 2016. Herrera turned 100 last May 31st but remains active, working every day in her NYC studio. Her new solo show at the Whitney, organized by Dana Miller and Richard DeMartini, will feature fifty works spanning Herrera's entire career, from the early Paris abstractions (which already signaled the path that her future work was to follow), through her renowned White and Green series, to a selection of recent paintings and drawings. The exhibition will also have an illustrated catalog. To learn more about Carmen Herrera's work, read Juan Ledezma's article in ArtNexus 58, Sep.-Nov., 2005. http://www.artnexus.com/Notice_View.aspx?DocumentID=15640&lan=es&x=1 You can purchase graphic works by Carmen Herrera through our web page: http://www.artnexus.com/StoreView.aspx?id=489
