On January 12, 2012, the Ningbo Museum of art in China inaugurated the exhibition entitled Carlos Cruz-Diez. Circumstance and Ambiguity of Color. This exhibition stems from the efforts by the Fundación Cruz-Diez geared toward bringing the Venezuelan artist¿s work to several places and cultural centers around the world. Located in the port city of Ningbo, the Museum presents several works by Cruz-Diez, such as the well-known pieces Douches d¿Induction Chromatique (Showers of Chromatic Induction), an environment that allows spectators to experience a chromatic immersion through several modules; Chromosaturation, in which spectators experience an environment that consists of several colored chambers; Environnement Chromointerférent (Chromo-Interference Environment), an environment created with several projections of lines and color weaves that produce sudden chromatic formalisms upon giving in to movement; and Inductions Chromatiques (Chromatic Inductions), prints on paper traced with Cruz-Diez¿s formal language; among others. Additionally, the exhibition is complemented with a series of photographs that showcase Cruz-Diez¿s vision applied to architecture. Carlos Cruz-Diez. Circumstance and Ambiguity of Color will remain open to the public until February 11, 2012.
