In the context of the 2016 Stimulus Calls offered by the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, the winner of the Grant for Artistic Publications was recently announced. Formed by Lucas Ospina, Juan David Giraldo-Segura, and Alejandro Perdomo-Daniels, and after a thorough and independent evaluation of the proposals, the jury unanimously recommended granting the stimulus to Breyner Huertas for his proposal La Minúscula Ensayística Ilustrada (The Miniscule Illustrated Essay). Breyner-Huertas is an artist, writer, and collaborator of ArNexus/Arte en Colombia. The award consists of a purse of 30,000,000.00 Colombian pesos for the publication of the book. This stimulus allows for the development of a series of small size publications that explore the potential of visual essays as well as a collection of three books about three young Colombian artists: Juan Peláez, José Olano, and Alex Rodríguez. Since 2012, Breyner Huertas has been developing an editorial process with publications and texts centered on art.
