In collaboration with La Chambre Blanche (Quebec) and Rad'Art Project of Associazione Artéco (Italy), the Bòlit, Centre d'Art Contemporani in Girona, is calling for submissions for its "Bòlit Residència Girona Creativa".
The institution invite submissions from professional visual artists, 18 or older, regardless of nationality, interested in developing a site-specific contemporary art project.
Participants can develop their proposal in any of the two centers, as long as they follow these requirements:
- Participants interested in a residence at Chambre Blanche (Canada) will pay special attention to the digital arts and will be in residence at the center for two months (between September 12th and November 7th, 2016).
- Participants interested in a residence at Rad'Art Project (Italy) will pay special attention to incorporating the center's physical characteristic into their proposals, and will be in residence there for 40 days (October 1st and November 10th, 2016).
The deadline for submissions runs through July 1st, 2016. The call includes follow-up and advising by Bólit; guidance in obtaining financing from the Ramon Lull Institute for the promotion of the visual arts; funds for living expenses and the production of the project (La Chambre Blanche: 1.500€; Rad'Art Project: 500€); and funds to be given as a stipend for the development of the project (La Chambre Blanche: 1.000€; Rad'Art Project: 500€).
Bòlit Residència Girona Creativa is a national and international exchange program for artists. It features renovated living spaces for artists, curators, and other professionals in the visual art field, allowing them to carry forth their work, stimulating their creative and/or research processes, and bringing visibility to the results, be it as part of the Bòlit program or in presentations in municipal facilities or in the city of Girona.
