The work titled Bio Cosmos N°1 by Argentinean artist Emilio Renart, exhibited at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires (MAMBA) during the months of March and April of 2017, has become an innovative experience of technological interaction between the artwork and the visiting public. The piece includes a Bot, a system that uses artificial intelligence and allows establishing a dialogue with the piece through the Facebook chat service on real time. This innovative proposal by the MAMBA was developed in partnership with the BBDO advertising agency of Argentina and it is framed by an initiative of the museum called "Dialogs with the work." With the goal of bringing the public closer to modern art through technological innovation, the work of art was given a voice. The Bot is an artificial intelligence system that simulates the existence of an interlocutor and allows the establishment of a conversation in which the system is able to "learn" and be perfected through the different interactions with the public. In order to live the experience it is necessary to get close to the work, look for "Bio Cosmos N°1" on Facebook and add it as a friend. In this manner, it is then possible to begin a conversation with the work through Facebook Messenger. There is also the option of scanning a QR code found next to the work to initiate the interaction. By using the Bot, visitors can learn details about the artists, the work and the museum without having to install a complex application, thus allowing for a more ludic, interactive and pedagogic approach to the work. The work will be on display through the entire month of April at the MAMBA.
