The Secretaría de Cultura of the Presidencia de la Nación Argentina, through the Dirección Nacional de Política Cultural y Cooperación Internacional, will sponsor two grants to complete a consecutive four-week long residency in the Republic of Colombia during the months of March and June of 2014.
The call is open to artists and professionals in the visual arts, literature, audiovisual mediums, film, music, theater and dance, as well as to those persons interested in perfecting the implementation of cultural projects that favor the local identity, citizen participation and regional development.
Candidates must be artists, technicians or cultural professionals from Argentina that reside in Colombia, or foreigners with permanent residencies who can develop activities in the public or private cultural sector.
Candidates will have until October 15, 2013 to present their projects and plan of activities in the offices of the Programa de Becas y Ayudas of the Secretaría de Cultura of the Presidencia de la Nación, located at the following address: Alsina 1169, 2.° piso, C1088AAE, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
The projects will be evaluated by a jury panel formed by experts from Argentina and Colombia, who will be entrusted with selecting the artists. Results will be published online at the event's homepage during the month of November.*
The goal of these grants is to offer artists a space to create specific projects in other countries, as well as to facilitate the improvement of their work through the encounter of pairs in other realms: to observe the professional development in their fields of interest and to search for opportunities that contribute to the development of the community in Argentina.
