Museo Reina Sofia Fellowships for Research and Apprentice
The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía presented 15 fellowships aimed at undergraduates to carry out research, coordination, and internship tasks for a year in different museum areas.
All the scholarships last twelve months, and the beneficiaries will be advised, guided, and monitored by a tutor.
The application period is open until March 24, through the website museoreinasofia.sede.gob.es. Only one application per person, submitting with the application a copy of the university degree, academic transcript, and a curriculum vitae.
Applicants for these scholarships must meet the general and specific requirements indicated:
Have the official academic degrees indicated in each fellowship or equivalent foreign degrees approved by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training on the deadline for submitting applications.
Candidates whose official language is not Spanish must provide documentary proof of perfect spoken and written skills.
The distribution of the scholarships, as well as the specific requirements for each one, are as follows:
Research Fellowship in the Collections Department: To research the museum's collection in the specialty of Latin American art, with interest in film, video and performance, and archival art between 1960 and 1989. The endowment will be 24,000 euros.
Research grants in the Exhibitions Department: Two grants to assist the curator in organizing temporary exhibitions. The endowment will be 24,000 euros.
Coordination-training scholarships in the Press Department: Two scholarships for graduates in Journalism, Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations, Fine Arts or Art History, with a postgraduate degree in art and/or communication and having completed the degree in 2012 or later years. The endowment is 21,000 euros.
Coordination-training grant in the Exhibitions Department: It is intended for the management of loans, coordination of the production of new works, monitoring of project design, and supervision of installation and disassembly. The endowment will be 21,000 euros.
Coordination-training grant in the Collections Department: Tasks such as coordination and design of the presentations of the Collection, through the search and selection of materials, display, and exhibition devices of the same. The endowment will be 21,000 euros.
Coordination-training scholarships in the Strategic, Commercial, and Public Development Department: Four scholarships to participate in research, proposals, strategies, and development of actions to attract stakeholders, engagement, statistics, and data analysis or design of campaigns through CRM. The endowment will be 21,000 euros.
Museum fellowship in the Exhibitions Department: Support the coordinators of the museum's temporary exhibitions. The endowment will be 18,000 euros.
Scholarship for apprenticeship in restoration, in sculpture, in the Department of Conservation and Restoration: Practical training in preventive conservation and restoration of works of contemporary art. The endowment will be 18,000 euros.
Scholarships for the Library and Documentation Center: The tasks inherent to the Library and Documentation Center of the Museo Reina Sofía. The grant will be 18,000 euros.
