The ENDESA Foundation announces the 14th call for entries for the Endesa Cultural Patrimony Fellowships for Iberian-America, in collaboration with the State Secretary or Culture of the Education, Culture, and Sport Ministry and the Centro Coordinador de Formación Hispana of the Duques de Soria Foundation.
The nine fellowships offer will each have a nine-month term (from October 1st, 2012, through June 27th, 2013, non renewable) and will consist of practical residences by the fellows in the following institutions: Biblioteca Nacional, Filmoteca Española, Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España, Museo de América, Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, Museo Nacional de Antropología, Museo del Traje, Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Museo del Romanticismo, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza ("Colección Thyssen- Bornemisza" Foundation), Lázaro Galdiano Foundation Museo del Prado, Subdirección General de los Archivos Estatales, Subdirección General de Promoción de las Bellas Artes, Subdirección General de Protección del Patrimonio Histórico.
In addition to these residence, the Secretary of State for Culture will organize a program for the broadening of knowledge in the history, language, and culture of Spain and its relationship to Latin America.
Each fellowship will include nine monthly stipends of 1,000 Euros, effective at the beginning of each month and subject to appropriate tax withholdings according law. Fellows will receive support for travel and accommodation, payable in a single lump sum at the beginning of their term, in the amount of 1,800 Euros.
Also, each fellow will be provided with medial (non pharmaceutical) insurance for the duration of his or her term.
To apply for these fellowships, candidates must:
a) Be a citizen of one of the following nations in the Iberian-American Community: Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Nationals from the following countries of territories where the Spanish language enjoys constitutional recognition: Equatorial Guinea, The Philippines, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
b) Have obtained a university degree with equivalence in Spain (bachelor, graduate, engineer, architect, etc.) after January 1st, 2007; have a date of birth after January 1st, 1982.
c) Present a pre-project for the work they intend to carry out during their term, according to the preferred line established by their chosen institution, which can be consulted in the competition rules.
Before traveling to Spain, fellows must secure a student visa from the Consulate General of Spain in their country of residence.
Submission of Applications
Electronic applications are preferred. To that end, the Spanish Pubic Administration, in accordance with Order CUL/1132/2011 April 28th (BOE of May 6th, 2011) facilitates the establishment of a password that recognizes the identity of the applicant and enhances security in the exchange of information.
To obtain this password and submit their application, candidates must follow the following steps:
