Mexican Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), invites foreign students interested in doing specializations, graduate studies, postgraduate research, and student undergraduate and graduate mobility programs in Mexico to participate in the 2017 Mexican Government Excellence Scholarship Program for Foreign Students call. The call is offered to students from more than 180 countries, under the framework of bilateral agreements, multilateral mechanisms, and special agreements. The call involves the participation of over 90 Mexican Higher Education Institutions (HEI), all of which offer academic programs enrolled in the National Quality Graduate Programs of the National Council for Science and Technology. The call will remain open until September 23 of 2016. Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in the academic discipline that they are applying for. In addition, candidates must have maintained a minimum grade point average of eight (8.0) in the 0 to 10 grading system—or its equivalent—during the last year of study; and already be accepted, or already taking a program in one of the Mexican institutions that participate in the call. Candidates must submit their paperwork in the following order: official nomination from their government, scholarship application form, letter of intent, CV, and acceptance letter from the participating institution. Mobility and research scholarships require additional paperwork. For the call's complete rules visit: http://www.gob.mx/amexcid/acciones-y-programas/becas-para-extranjeros-29785
