The Fundación Botín announces the opening of its call for Grants for solo projects and research in the realm of artistic creation 2014/2015. The event will grant 220,000.00 euros for the completion of projects in the realm of artistic creation (non-theoretical projects), to artists of any nationality. The grants will be direct, indivisible and non-transferable and do not cover compensations to family members. This help is incompatible with any other institutional support. The fellowships cannot extend beyond nine months. The fellowships for candidates living abroad can extend the application process, provided they were requested within the period of the public call. The selected candidates will each receive a purse of 16,000.00 euros—if the individual does not have to change place of residence. If the selected candidate must move to another country different from his/her own country of residence, then the purse will be 24,000.00 euros. The amounts aforementioned include expenses associated with traveling, lodging, upkeep, studio rent, etc. These grants are subject to taxation according to Spanish law. The payment will be: 45% initially, 25% during the following two trimesters, and 5% upon receiving the final report.
