The Foundation of Lower Saxony invites artists of any nationality to participate in its call. The competition offers candidates the opportunity to compete for three residency grants at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art, in Oldenburg, Germany.
Each grant offers a purse of 10,000.00 euros per artist selected, with the goal of promoting his/her work in the field of Media Art, which includes a wide variety of ″new″ media.
The deadline to enter all applications is February 27, 2013. Applicants must present a new project that can be completed within a one to six month period, which reflects the entire time of the residency. Additionally, candidates must submit a detailed written description—600 characters with spaces or under—of the process and project to be developed, including a timetable and a financing plan. Applications must be filled out in English or German.
Besides the award, winners may also apply for a furnished apartment—if available—in which to live during their residency. The grant will not cover any additional expenses.
