Intended to give impulse to art creation and diffusion, the ESPAI RAMBLETA visual arts program announces the 1st call for applications to its Art Production and Research Fellowship.
This Art Production and Research Fellowship has as its goal the provision of a variety of material and financial supports, as well as services directed towards the execution of art projects.
The call is open to any artistic discipline either solo or group, as well as to projects in the realms of production, investigation, and curatorship, with a commitment to their execution in 2014.
The Fellowship will address the execution of an art project conceived for ESPAI RAMBLETA and featuring a critical exploration of the exhibition event by means of installations, interventions, or actions develop specifically to the space's characteristics. The Fellowship is also intended to facilitate, for those selected, pathways to professionalization in the realm of contemporary art.
Only new projects, never published or selected for exhibition, will be admitted. Projects must be developed specifically for the characteristics of ESPAI RAMBLETA.
The call is open to any person of adult age, individually or as a group.
Financial Reward:
Support in the amount of 6,000 euros, divided as follows:
- 3,500 euros for the work and/or exhibition project;
- 2,500 euros for editing, circulation, communication, and publication of catalog.
The amount destined for the support of the work and/or exhibition project will be payable in 2 installments distributed over six months, and will be subject to deductions established by current legislation on income tax.
The application deadline is December 1, 2013. No application will be accepted after that date.
Documentation, presentation, and deadline for delivery
Only one proposal per applicant can be submitted. For the selection phase, participants must submit a digital dossier (maximum 40 folios; PDF file with a maximum weight of 5 megabytes) including:
-Description of the project, including texts and images;
- Summary of the artist's/group's trajectory, including: personal info, CV, and other activities relevant for the project.

Deadline for execution:
The chosen works or projects will be exhibited at ESPAI RAMBLETA.
The specifics for this exhibition will be determined with the artists once the selection is finalized. The deadline for execution will be between March and September, 2014. ESPAI RAMBLETA's technical team will be charged with providing coordination support, as well as evaluating, supervising, and following up on the development of the projects.
