BarranquillArte, an international contemporary art fair created as the motor for a charity cause, will be held in late April.
"We want to raise funds for the Huellas con Futuro Foundation to continue helping vulnerable children without resources, from the womb to age 5, in the city of Barranquilla", explains Paola Gutiérrez de Piñeres, who helms both the foundation and the art fair.
The fair will feature an art auction, and a percentage of the funds raised will be given to the foundation. To that end, the bidding will be coordinated by a gavel expert from Christie's, in New York City.
BarranquillArte will be held between April 25th and 18th in the 600-meter Jumbo Hall of the Barranquilla Country Club, exhibiting around 2,000 artworks brought by 30 local and international galleries.
