The Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture announces the opening of its call for mobility grants. The grant may be applied for exclusively by foreign cultural organizations in two successive steps: from March 1 to March 31, and from September 1 to September 30 of 2016. Applications must be submitted via a computer app during the aforementioned periods. In order to access the app, candidates must first register online at the call's homepage. Proposals must only focus on one of the following cultural areas: performing arts (theatre, dance), visual arts (including architecture and design), film (including documentary films), literature and books (including illustration), and music. The grants are meant to cover: •International and national travel expenses •Lodging and living expenses •Expenses arising from the preproduction or production of the activity and other justified expenses (promotion, advertising, honorariums, etc.) Among other things, the call aims at supporting the ability of the culture sector and its creative industries to operate at the international level, promoting the circulation and mobility of works, productions, artists, creators, agents and cultural and creative professionals. The program is also aimed at providing incentives for leading foreign entities and institutions that encourage them to promote the work of Spanish artists, culture professionals and creators abroad, in order to enhance their international projection, mobility and recognition.
