ASAC: Contemporary Art Historical Archives & Venice Biennial Library opening

Located at the VEGA complex - Venice Gateway for Science and technology in Venice mainland, the ASAC holds the largest collection of assets on the Venice Biennial from 1895 to the present. It supplies services related to the documentation, research and experimentation within the field of contemporary art: visual arts, architecture, film, music, dance and theatre. ASAC is both a multidisciplinary and a multimedia structure. The Biennial library opens after 10 years in a restored area of the Central Pavilion in the Giardini with over 130,000 art books and catalogues, many of which are catalogues published by the institution. Specialized in visual art s, the library will provide books, catalogues, papers and special reading rooms open to exhibition visitors, students and researchers in Venice.
